When the ski season on the Alpe di Siusi comes to an end and the last snow from the Sciliar is still visible, the first signs of spring are sprouting in our meadows. Blooming violets, crocuses, daisies, cowslips and fragrant fruit trees make this time of year a special experience. Leisurely walks through meadows and woods to the "Völser Weiher" pond or to "Schloss Prösels" castle, which can be reached in less than half an hour from our farm, day trips to the surrounding sights or a visit to one of the South Tyrolean regional museums are just some of the countless leisure activities that can be enjoyed.
Many walks and hikes, starting directly from our farm, take you through the cool woods to the surrounding alpine pastures. More challenging mountain tours, up to over 2,000 metres above sea level, will show you the beauty of our mountains, the "Dolomites" and the neighbouring "Sciliar-Catinaccio " Nature Park, a unique hiking and recreation area. On hot summer days you can take a refreshing dip in the nearby natural swimming lake "Völser Weiher".
With deep blue skies and breathtaking views, autumn is the perfect time to go hiking and walking in pleasant temperatures. Until well into November, the entire area is bathed in warm, bright autumn colours that will accompany you on your excursions. The “Törggele” tradition is also revived. The “Buschenschänke”, typical country inns, open their parlours, welcome you to their farms and spoil you with typical local specialities.
The nearby Alpe di Siusi is a skiing and hiking paradise for everyone. Modern lifts and 60 km of perfectly groomed slopes await you, as well as a snow fun park, toboggan runs and cross-country ski trails. Experience an unforgettable snowshoe hike or ski tour on Europe’s largest alpine pasture.
